Chigasaki Itaru / "NIGHT FLOWER~GERBERA~" (1)
Sakuya: The leader's meeting is all done!
Tsuzuru: Good work.
Izumi: Is everyone here?
Citron: Itaru and Chikage aren't.
Masumi: The two of them said they'd be late because of work. A LIME came in a bit ago.
Sakuya: Ah, you're right.
Tsuzuru: What did you guys discuss in today's leader's meeting?
Sakuya: Actually, we received a request to perform at a botanical garden, so we were having a meeting about that!
Citron: Oh-! That's amazing!
Masumi: What are the details?
Izumi: A night-themed "Midnight Garden," an event where you're supposed to enjoy a botanical garden at night, has been scheduled to be held it seems.
Sakuya: While we're rotating around the garden, we're going to perform improvised performances for the customers who are enjoying the event!
Tsuzuru: Improvisional performances in a different place than usual, huh...... It seems like it'll help us study a bunch of things. But, why did we receive the request?
Izumi: They said that "MANKAI Company's" name is perfect for the occasion.
Tsuzuru: I get it. The name was suitable.
Citron: Will everyone participate in it?
Sakuya: No, each troupe will send out 3 members each daily, so we have to choose 2 other members besides the leaders.
Masumi: Then, just pick Itaru and Chikage. It's their penalty for being late.
Sakuya: Ehh!?
Tsuzuru: Both of them are working people, so they can't do anything about it......
Citron: They're being run off their feet with work!
Itaru: We're back.
Chikage: Sorry for being late. ...... Huh, you guys haven't started practice yet?
Izumi: The truth is.......
Itaru: For real.
Chikage: To think being 10 minutes late would lead to this.
Masumi: ......You guys are at fault for being late.
Tsuzuru: No, like I said, they were both busy with work.......
Chikage: It's alright. It's the truth that we're late sometimes because of work, after all.
Itaru: Well, during that period, I don't have an event to play.
Sakuya: Thank you so much! Let's do our best together!
Citron: All three of you, fighting!
Izumi: Three days from now, there will be a rehearsal for a private viewing. During that, please think of me as a customer and perform for me.
Itaru: Which means, we should create our roles up until then.
Izumi: Yes.
Chikage: So, have those roles already been decided?
Izumi: The setting is flowers that have become human in the middle of the night, and it seems like you're free to decide what flowers you want to perform as.
Itaru: Hm. So the catch is that it's a personification of a flower.
Sakuya: Tsumugi-san mentioned several different flowers from the four seasons, and we're going to pick from those. Of course, we're in charge of the spring flowers!
Itaru: ic.
Izumi: Then to make things fair, let's decide everyone's roles by drawing cards.
Chikage: Got it.
Izumi: The three of you, have you picked your cards? Then--ready, go!
Sakuya: Ah, I got sakura!
Itaru: Gerbera.
Chikage: I'm a lily of the valley, huh.
Itaru: To pull sakura, you're definitely the leader of the Spring Troupe.
Citron: It suits Sakuya!
Sakuya: Gerberas give off a gorgeous feeling, so it's like Itaru-san!
Masumi: ......It's limited to his public face, though.
Tsuzuru: Lilies of the valley have a kinda pretty and trim image, but.......
Itaru: That's so rough lmao.
Chikage: Haha. Right back at you.
Citron: You three are stuck on each other!
Tsuzuru: You mean perfect. (Note 1)
Masumi: But, how do you act out a flower who's turned into a human?
Sakuya: It's true that it seems a bit difficult.......
Izumi: Tsuzuru-kun, do you have some kind of advice to give to them?
Tsuzuru: Let's see...... If you mix the image of the flower with flower language, then it might be easier to create your roles.
Chikage: I see. The image that the flower holds, huh.
Itaru: I've never had much to do with flower language, so I have no ideas.......
Izumi: Then, the three of you should create each of your roles until the set date. I'm looking forward to how they come out.
Sakuya: Alright! I'll do my best!
Citron: I'm looking forward to it clearly! (Note 2)
Itaru: Ah~So gerberas are this flower, huh.......
Chikage: It's true that it gives off the vibe of your public appearance.
Itaru: If I'm going to be personifying it, then if I buff my elegance, it should be good enough.
Itaru: Hmm, next is the flower language.......
Chikage: White is "hope," and red is "challenge." There's variety by color.
Itaru: For real...... They're all so positive that's it's super blinding.
Itaru: Ah-...... This is checkmate for Itaru-san. Getting into my role is suffering.
Chikage: This time is different than usual and doesn't have a story either, after all.
Itaru: But I wanna go on the offensive. What other easy things are there to put into the role.......
Itaru: "Patience".......
Chikage: True, this one's like Chigasaki.
Itaru: Well, I do like playing with binding rules and grinding. This one's possible. (Note 3)
Itaru: Fumu fumu. What others are there.......
Itaru: --! Gottem. This one's definitely me.
Note 1: Citron is saying "bettari" which would mean they're like clinging to each other etc. but he actually means "pittari" which means perfect. Tsuzuru corrects him here. Also it doesn't come through in the sentence, but I believe Citron wanted to originally say that the three of their roles were perfect for them.
Note 2: Alright I've like never considered what this means before because he says it all the time and I know what he's trying to say but anyway, Citron says "wakiwaki" which? as far as I can understand means like, being obvious, or being clear/distinct... but he means "wakuwaku" which would mean excited so... Basically, this is what we get.
Note 3: So...for the playing one, I know he's talking about like, replaying a game with some kind of difficulty on, but I'm not sure if it's slang for playing a game with challenges (ex. go through without this item, play without healing or something), or if he literally (because the word used can mean binding/tied) means playing with a hand tied. I figured option one was more likely (though there are people who can play games with one hand), so I went with that. I would have looked into it more but it's kind of dangerous to go looking around with a word like "binding" in the sentence....
I refuse to translate Itaru's fumu fumu because it's cute (I'm aware that's not a good excuse). Also idk if gottem is a good tl for kitakore but here we are.
Final note since I'm going to tl Chikage's vivid card (and Azamin's at some point) as well, but the first section with all the spring members and the director takes place in the first chapter of all vivid cards, though different depending on their troupe.
