Citron / Song of the Heart (3)
Izumi: Off days are always crowded with people, but there's a bit more people than usual today!
Tsuzuru: Wow-it's unexpectedly crowded.
Itaru: Ah, there are food stalls, too.
Chikage: I've got to go around to all of the spicy Asian cuisine stalls.
Tsuzuru: Must be nice to be taking it easy as a person who won't be performing.
Izumi: Are you nervous?
Tsuzuru: Of course I am. It kinda feels different from performing a play on a stage, and it's my first time ever playing in an instrumental concert.
Itaru: Nice work.
Tsuzuru: You don't care because it's not your problem, huh!? (1)
Sakuya: If we do it like we practiced, I'm sure it'll be okay!
Izumi: It looks like Sakuya-kun is taking it easy.
Sakuya: Rather than it being ease, I plan on becoming Yoneda Yuu-kun and playing as him.
Sakuya: If I do that, then it'll feel like I'm acting in a play and standing on stage like usual.
Tsuzuru: I see.
Izumi: That's a good way of thinking.
Tsuzuru: I think I'll try to become Hino Katsumi and do my best as him.
Citron: Everyone's sphinx, sphinx, huh.
Tsuzuru: I think you mean relaxed, but you're just surpassing the mistaken words category, you know!?
Masumi: Pretty soon it's our turn.
Izumi: Ah, we have to get ready. Whose score is this left over here?
Citron: It's mine~.
Izumi: Huh? Is it alright that it's just the score for "Quartet"? What about the score for your solo song?
Citron: This morning when I was practicing in the practice area, it was blown away by the wind~.
Izumi: Huh!? That's bad! We have to search for it--.
Citron: I couldn't find it, so I gave up. I can already play the song without the score.
Sakuya: You're going to play it all by memory!? That's amazing!
Citron: The truth is it's Uroborus.
Itaru: You mean you vaguely recall it. (2)
Chikage: Is he going to be okay?
Masumi: As I thought, I should just play a song of love solo.......
Tsuzuru: Nonono, that's impossible, too!
Citron: No worries. Even if I don't remember the melody, I know the theme of the song, and thoughts of everyone from the Spring Troupe are always within my heart.
Citron: If play from the heart, everything will be fine!
Izumi: Within your heart.......
Izumi: (That's right, if everyone from the Spring Troupe is by his side, I'm sure it'll be fine.)
Chairman: Continuing on, here's everyone from the Spring Quartet!
Izumi: Everyone, see you in a bit!
Citron: .......
Masumi: .......
Tsuzuru: .......
Sakuya: .......
Izumi: (Mhm, they're a bit nervous, but they're playing like they practiced.)
Izumi: (Citron-kun and Masumi-kun are taking the lead, so the balance is good, and it blends into a beautiful harmony......)
Citron: .......
Izumi: (From here, it's Citron-kun's solo part.)
Izumi: (The first movement is a warm piece arranged with ≪Spring's≫ melody......)
Citron: --.
Sakuya: ?
Izumi: (Huh? Citron-kun turned to face Sakuya-kun.)
Izumi: (The piece changed. An energetic and straightforward, bouncy melody...... Perhaps this melody is supposed to be Sakuya-kun.)
Citron: --.
Masumi: .......
Izumi: (Next is Masumi-kun. A fast-tempoed allegro with finesse as its focus. It goes from a rigid song to transforming into a melody that melts into gentleness......)
Izumi: (How Masumi-kun opened up his heart to everyone in the Spring Troupe is being represented here.)
Citron: --.
Tsuzuru: .......
Izumi: (This is Tsuzuru-kun. It's a warm, melodious tune that is repeated back and changed again and again.)
Izumi: (I think this is representing Tsuzuru-kun as a scriptwriter.)
Citron: --.
Itaru: .......
Izumi: (I think this time it's Itaru-san. Somehow it seems like the BGM of a RPG.)
Izumi: (From a melody like flying in a relaxed manner throughout the sky to a boss character's appearance......Haha, it's just like Itaru-san.)
Citron: --.
Chikage: .......
Izumi: (This is Chikage-san. A slightly complex minor melody...... Then from dissonance into harmony...... It changes into a gentle tune......) (3)
Izumi: (It gives off the vibe of Chikage-san.)
Citron: .......
Izumi: (I wonder whose image it's in now?)
Citron: .......
Izumi: ?
Izumi: (Citron-kun is looking over here. Could it be that this is...... Me?)
Izumi: (Everyone's melodies are scattered here and there, and then it's like everything is enveloped within the song......)
Izumi: (So this is Citron-kun's image of me. Somehow, I feel happy.)
Citron: .......
Izumi: (It's true that everyone from the Spring Troupe exists within Citron-kun. It's like all the time they've spent together has taken on this piled-up shape.)
Izumi: ......Hm?
Izumi: (This is......)
Izumi: (Su-i su-i zukkorobashi!?) (4)
Chikage: In the end it turns into this.
Itaru: Unshakeable.
Spectator A: Ahahaha!
Spectator B: Why now!?
Spectator C: This is interesting~!
Citron: Everyone, thank you for listening!
Izumi: (To finish off such a wonderful song with something laughable......
It's just like Citron-kun.)
1: So he's saying "another person's business" basically, but anyway, what he means is that Itaru's treating it as if he's completely unrelated to the problem
2: Citron says "Uroborus" but he actually means to say "uro oboe" so Itaru corrects him in this sentence.
3: Actually, Izumi says that it's "amai" which usually means "sweet" but like. I look at Chikage and see the opposite, and maybe that's just me, but I really felt like "sweet" wouldn't be the correct translation. So I went with gentle, because I feel like it suits his character's change/his character better? Uhh....idk I might change it sometime, but for now yeah
4: This is a children's song in Japan, and Citron plays it a few times in the event story as well (there's audio of it playing in the background!)
This backstage is so good, and the event story is so good (pls read if you haven't yet), and I am just screaming over this family, BUT ANYWAY....I love how Citron represents each of them in his music, and I'm just. I'm not crying
